Solution
What we built.
- Built a real-time discovery engine that tracks the user's location, route, speed and direction to surface relevant hidden gems before they pass by
- Designed a smart notification system users configure by interest - history, nature, pilgrimage, food, services - so every alert is relevant, never noise
- Engineered time-aware filtering: closed museums, Friday-only mosques and seasonal sites are silenced automatically - only open, accessible places are surfaced
- Created an interactive map with active/passive states showing live availability: "Open now" vs "Opens tomorrow at 09:00"
- Built a hidden gems database of local, off-the-beaten-path landmarks that mainstream travel apps ignore entirely
